Broad Street Historic District, in Middletown, Connecticut, USA, consists of historic properties that line Broad Street just west of downtown. It is the third street up from the Connecticut River, deKoven being the first and Main Street being the second. Located on the eastern border of the Middletown Downtown Village District, the Broad Street Historic District is a 19th-century residential neighborhood. US Secretary of State Dean Acheson spent a period of his childhood in the historic district.
It is crossed by College Street and further south of Washington Street. Its southern end touches Middlesex Hospital, and overlaps of the easternmost portion of the Wesleyan University campus. It has the Russell Public Library and the book store Broad Street Books (not a listed property), used by many Wesleyan students.
