Profiles

The British School of Ulaanbaatar (BSU) in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia is a private international school, which offers an educational program from Pre-school to Year 13 (UK) for students of all nationalities wishing to study a British school curriculum.

Curriculum

British School of Ulaanbaatar offers program that is based on the Cambridge International Examinations system which currently provides students with IGCSE certification. The class size is limited to 24 students maximum. If the class has more than 24 students, they must split in 2 classes, A and B. However, BSU is lazy and acts cheap, if a class has reached 24 and more students want to join, they put then in a waiting list because they don't want to spend money on the 2 separate classes. School days are from 8:30 to 3:05 Academic subjects taught at the school are English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography, Design & Technology, Physical Education, Music, Mongolian Language and Mongolian History. All instructions are taught in English except the Mongolian Language and History classes. English as a Second Language (E.S.L.) are provided for students in need. Unfortunately, English teachers are extremely lazy and just make you read everyday instead of teaching.

BSU is accredited by PENTA International and is a member of the COBIS.
