Bright Sparks School India is a charity (Registered Charity 1126402) registered in both India and England and Wales, which runs a school for over 70 children serving the slums of Mohali, Punjab, northern India. The charity was established by Chair and Co-Founder Gail Edwards after a period volunteering in the region in 2001. The school has four teachers including Headteacher Rita Mohan and rents a four-roomed building close to the slum.

The UK trustees and fundraisers need to raise £10,000 a year to fund the school which is only able to serve a small part of the demand from families living in the slum. Bright Sparks provides an education to children that would otherwise not learn to read and write. Many of the children are working to support their families and have fallen out of the normal schooling process, Bright Sparks enables the children to learn at a level which suits them.
