Brian Currane is a former Australian rules footballer for the Ireland national Australian rules football team.

Playing career

Brian is a native of Kilmihil, Co. Clare and is the founder of the Leeside Lions. Brian and his brother Mick represented the Ireland national Australian rules football team, that won the 2001 Atlantic Alliance Cup and 2002 Australian Football International Cup, in Melbourne. He returned with the team as player/assistant coach for the 2008 Australian Football International Cup, reaching the semi finals.
