Brenda Chawner is a New Zealand library academic. After a BA and MLS at the University of Alberta, she did a PhD at Victoria University of Wellington on the use of free and open source software in libraries.
Since 2011, Chawner has been the editor of The New Zealand Library and Information Management Journal. In 2012, she won a LIANZA Fellowship. In 2012 and 2014 she was a judge at the New Zealand Open Source Awards.
