Boys' Town was established in 1944 by philanthropist Seth Pirojshah Nusserwanji Mehta, who established a residential school at Nashik. He established ‘Boys’ Town’; a residential school. It is run by the P. N. Mehta Education Trust, Mumbai. Boys Town was established by Seth P.N.Mehta after taking over from the first founder Mr. F.H.Dastoor. It was theb known as Dastoor School. After the takeover the school also had direct contact with BOYS TOWN Nebraska in USA founded by Father Flagan. The first Pprincipal of Boys Town Mr. Soli Pavri had visited the USA school. Seth P.N.Mehta ebcouraged Mr. Pavri to make the school true to its name. BOYS TOWN. Boys town had its own POST OFFICE run by students ubder the teacher also named P.N.Mehta. Boys town had its own Bank and own currency DEEPAM named after the first Mayou D.P.Moos and Peenum named after sethji. 100 Peenums made a Rupee, Deepam was Rs.2/-. The Boys town Store and Canteen only accepted own Currency. The school also had hobby classes for Clay Modeling under art teacher Mr. Parulekar, Cobbler classes and carpentry, Drawing ubder Mr. Dalvi.
Structure
The school admits only boys as boarders, but admits girls as day scholars. It is divided into Nursery, Prep, Primary and Secondary sections,Higher Secondary sections.
