The Boettger's wall gecko or the Gran Canaria gecko (Tarentola boettgeri ) is a species of lizard in the family Gekkonidae.

Etymology

The specific name, boettgeri, is in honor of German herpetologist Oskar Boettger.

Geographic range

T. boettgeri is endemic to the islands of El Hierro and Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. An introduced population exists in Galicia, Spain.

Habitat

Its habitats are shrubby vegetation, rocky areas, rocky shores, and rural gardens.
