Rupert "Bob" Strickland (October 23, 1932 – September 26, 2008) was an American television journalist who established a mentoring program for minority broadcasters. Strickland worked for nearly three decades at WUSA, the CBS affiliate in Washington,_D.C., during which he won three local Emmy awards for his reporting.

Prior to his work for WUSA, Strickland served in the United States Air Force, rising to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He emigrated from Panama where he was born and raised.
