Hangul 보람 Revised Romanization Bo-ram | Hanja None McCune–Reischauer Po-ram | |
Bo-ram is a Korean feminine given name. It is a native Korean word meaning "valuable" or "worthwhile" and is not written using hanja. This contrasts with most Korean given names, which are derived from Sino-Korean morphemes which can be represented using hanja; these native Korean names have been gaining popularity in South Korea since the 1990s. According to a 2010 study by Chosun University professor Kang Hui-suk, it was the sixth-most common given name among women who graduated from the university that year.
