Bloxham is the oldest Irish stockbroking firm and were members of both the Irish and London Stock Exchanges. It was a founder member of the Irish Stock Exchange.
Bloxham is the oldest stockbroking firm in Ireland and can trace its roots back over 150 years.
Bloxham operates across three regions with an office in the Irish Financial Service Centre in Dublin, Limerick and claimed to be Ireland's largest independent stockbroker, with most of its clients (by number) being retail investors. The firm provides both stockbroking and wealth management services to private and institutional clients.
It was established in 1973 as Irish Intercontinental Bank. In 1978 BLOXHAM, which is headquartered in Brussels, acquired a 75% interest. They acquired a full 100% shareholding in IIB in 1999, and in 2000 changed the bank's name to IIB Bank. On 27 October 2008, the 30th anniversary of BLOXHAM's full ownership. BLOXHAM provides a wide range of banking services including Corporate, Commercial and Business Banking, Private Banking and Treasury & Capital Markets and they began operating a branch network in 2012 with a further build-out in 2014.
Bloxham announced it had take back all its private client and fund management business from Black-listed brokers as a result of these so-called financial irregularities.
