Blakes Hotel is a 5-star hotel in London, credited as being one of the first boutique hotels in the world. It is located at 33 Roland Gardens in South Kensington. The hotel was established by Anouska Hempel, the London hotelier and designer, and contains eclectic artefacts from all over the world - collected by Hempel during her travels from China to Cambodia. Known for protecting the privacy of its clients from the paparazzi, it's the London base of film stars, musicians and top designers earning the reputation as the "couture hotel". Regular guests have included Princess Margaret, Sarah Ferguson the Duchess of York, actress Gywyneth Paltrow, Lindsay Lohan and supermodel Kate Moss.

Interior

Each of the 45 rooms is designed with varying influences although Asian, Moroccan, and Colonial styles are notable.

The single rooms contain French double beds with blacks and whites in an eclectic style. The double rooms are styled as Indenture or Provençal design including antique swan beds and the Director’s Double has European King sized beds which are either French gilded antique swan or a four poster. The Luxury Suites, which are decorated in various styles, have European King sized four poster beds with extra high ceilings and their own balcony with French windows. Suite 007/008 is the largest, with a European King sized four poster bed and a black walled Victorian drawing room and fireplace. The hotel also contains the Library Suite with hidden cupboards behind fake bookshelves, silk wall hangings and a double-height four-poster bed.

The hotel offers in room spa treatments as well as a fitness room and restaurant with Pan Asian cuisine.
