The black honey buzzard (Henicopernis infuscatus), also called the New Britain honey buzzard, is a species of bird of prey in the family Accipitridae. It is endemic to the island of New Britain in Papua New Guinea.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Description

It is a big, forest raptor that is almost completely covered in black with exceptions of white bands on flight and tail feathers.
