William Emmett Ryan III (April 4, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan – February 18, 1997 in Manhattan, New York City), aka Bill Ryan, was an American broadcast journalist with the NBC television network and its owned and operated local station WNBC-TV in New York City for 26 years, and also served for a year (1970-1971) as news anchor at WOR-TV. Bill Ryan was also co-anchor of the Ralph & Ryan radio morning show on 570 WMCA in the late 1970s to early 1980s in New York City. He is shown here on the right in the main photo in this ad for WMCA.
