Bikanta is a startup biotech company engaged in the development of clinical products that focus on detection of cancer by inserting fluorescent nanodiamonds. In 2014, Bikanta participated in the Y Combinator program and was one of the four companies backed by Y Combinator. The company claims to have developed a cancer screening technology capable of detecting cancer early by use of nanodiamonds capable of stopping cancer from spreading any further. In an interview with Techcrunch, founder Dr. Ambika Bumb said that current technologies cannot detect micrometastatic tumors, whereas Bikanta's can.

The company was founded in 2013 and is based at Berkeley, California. Bikanta has raised $120k in seed funding from 5 Investors in 2014.
