Big Brother 5 (Albania) is the fifth season of the Albanian series of the worldwide franchise of Big Brother. It launched on Saturday, 18 February 2012, with fifteen housemates entering the house. The winner received the 15,000,000 Leks (€100,000) prize. The fifth season of Big Brother Albania aired on two cable and satellite channels 24 hours a day on the Digit-Alb TV network, as well as on two additional channels on DigitAlb Mobile. Daily reviews were shown Monday through Saturday on Top Channel. The eviction show aired on Saturdays at 21:00 CET, while a Sunday edition closed off the week. The main host is Arbana Osmani, while Albana Osmani hosted the Sunday morning spin-off called "Big Brother Albania Fans' Club", featuring dialogues with eliminated contestants and fans of the show. Arian Konomi returned this year and took over the role of the panelist for the third time, thus replacing Blendi Salaj. The winner of the season is Arbër Zeka. The fifth season of Big Brother Albania is known for being the most controversial one to date, it's known also for its numerous fights between the houseguests and the breakdown of a drug-addicted houseguest during the show.

Albulena

Albulena is a 23-year-old student from Gnjilane, Kosovo. Her hobbies are music, movies and dancing. She entered the house to try new experiences. Alblena likes challenges and this is another reason for entering the house. She entered on Day 1.

Anila

Anila is a 20-year-old student from Tirana, Albania. Her hobbies are dancing, music and trips. She entered the house to win the big prize. Anila entered on Day 1.

Arbër

Arbër is a 25-year-old boy from Pristina, Kosovo. He works as an economist. Arbër entered the house on Day 15 and is the first winner in the history of Big Brother Albania who is an Albanian from Kosovo.

Arjola

Arola is a 23-year-old student from Pogradec, Albania. Her hobbies are parties and dancing. She entered the house because she believes that her intelligence, character and provocative type would become her a suitable housemate, and maybe a winner. Arjola entered on Day 1.

Besarda

Besarda is a 20-year-old student from Fier, Albania. Her hobbies are photos, fashion, shopping and trips. She entered the house to give herself an opportunity to change things in her life. Besarda entered on Day 1. She left the house on Day 2 because of her emotional state and coping with cameras around the house.

Doloreza

Doloreza entered the house on Day 15 and was evicted two weeks after her entrance on Day 29. She is a 23-year-old girl from Tirana and works on architecture.

Dritan

Dritan entered the house on Day 43 and was evicted Day 85.

Edgar

Edgar Çani is a 52-year-old electrician from Tirana, Albania. His hobbies are poetry, music, movies and books. He entered the house because he likes challenges. Edgar is also known in Albania as the man who answered 14 questions in the show Kush do të bëhet Milioner? where he won €25.000. He is the father of footballer Edgar Çani. He entered on Day 1.

Elvis

Elvis is a 22-year-old student from Đakovica, Kosovo. His hobbies are fitness, motorsports and cars. He entered the house for fame. Elvis entered on Day 1.

Emirjeta

Emrijeta is a 30-year-old decorator from Shkodër, Albania. Her hobbies are volleyball, music and books. She entered the house to meet new people and to win the big prize. Emirjeta entered on Day 1. Emirjeta later got evicted with Gjon on Day 8 in a double eviction.

Erion

Erion is a 24-year-old bartender from Tirana, Albania. His hobbies are cocktails, nightlife and music. He entered the house to experience new emotions and to meet new people. Erion entered on Day 1.

Ermal

Ermal Merdani is a 24-year-old student from Memaliaj, Albania. His hobbies are fashion and reality shows. He entered the house because the being famous is one of his biggest dreams. He is known for being Mister Albania in 2010. Ermal entered on Day 1.

Ermira

Ermira is a 24-year-old from Tirana, Albania who is in the marketing occupation. Her hobbies are painting, music, and travel.

Florian

Florian is a 24-year-old student from Baldushk, Albania. His hobbies are music and wine. He entered the house to meet new people. His mum told him not to fall in love in the Big Brother House. Florian entered on Day 1.

Françeska

Françeska Jace is from Vlore, Albania. Françeska entered the house on Day 8 and was selected from Erion and Liam to enter the house in a task Big Brother set them.

Gentiana

Gentiana is a 22-year-old girl from Baban, Devoll, Albania. Her hobbies are books, music and photos. She entered the house to tell everyone that a girl even from a small and a periferic village can be as integrated as the others are in the society. Gentiana entered on Day 1.

Gerta

Gerta Matoiti simply known as Geri entered the house on Day 43 and was evicted on Day 85.

Gjon

Gjon is a 32-year-old trichologist from Lezha, Albania. His hobbies are trips. He entered the house because he tends towards new experiences and to win the big prize. Gjon entered on Day 1. He later got evicted on Day 8 with Emirjeta in a double eviction.

Graciano

Graciano Tagani is a 20-year-old from Tirana, Albania. His hobbies are dancing and music. Graciano was watching Big Brother live in his living room when Arbana told him from TV that he was a housemate. He entered on Day 1.

Grandiola

Grandiola entered the house on Day 43 and was evicted on Day 71.

Klaudja

Klaudja Veseli is from Tirana, Albania. She entered on Day 8 and revealed that all the current girl houseguests were up for eviction. Even thought she was in the House for a brief time, Klaudja managed to be the center of attention, even when she was out of the House. She made a huge controversy by walking from the House during the Live Show. Before her walking, Klaudja showed signs of stress, anxiety and bipolarity and it was revealed that she had a substance addiction and entered rehab a few weeks later her walk. After the season ended, Klaudja showed up in the Reunion Show to tell everyone she was doing fine and that her addiction wasn't very serious. Klaudja will be remembered as one of the best players in Big Brother Albania's history.

Liam

Armando better known by his stage name Liam is a 33-year-old DJ from Albania. His hobbies are football, basketball, swimming and ping-pong. He entered the House because he wants to try how can he live isolated with unknown people. Liam Mandiaro began his career in Tirana in 1999. He worked as a DJ in several clubs, e.g. Fantastic Meteor and Disco Blue. Afterwards he went to Italy, Rimini where he advanced his career. In 2002 he started his studies at the University of Istanbul and had some gigs at small clubs. Since four years ago he has been living in Germany Liam entered on Day 1.

Lorena

Lorena entered the house on Day 15 and was evicted on Day 50.

Meti

Meti is a 23-year-old model from Pristina, Kosovo. His hobbies are dancing, folk music and basketball. He entered the house because he thinks that this is the best way to be promoted in the fashion world. Meti entered the Big Brother House on Day 1. He was evicted by Gentiana on Day 8 but was brought back by the public with 94.6% of the votes in favor to save him.

Vlashi

Vlashi is a 25-year-old fashion blogger from Durrës. He entered the house on Day 15 and was evicted on Day 43.

Nominations table

Notes:

^1 Gentiana was chosen by Big Brother to evict one of three boys: Meti, Ermal or Elvis. She evicted Meti and then the public voted whether Meti should stay in the house or should be evicted. 94.6% of the public voted for Meti to stay in the house. Then all girls were nominated and public voted for its favorite housemate. Emirjeta had the smallest percentage of votes (7%), so she left the house. After that, all boys were nominated and the boy with the smallest percentage of votes was Gjon.

^2 All of the housemates were nominated for eviction and the three housemates with the least number of votes would be evicted and four others would be nominated. As Albulena, Florian, and Arjola received the least amount of votes to save (1.3%, 2.4%, and 3.2%) they were all evicted while Anila, Elvis, Franceska and Graciano were nominated. Other housemates voted to save a housemate from being nominated. Graciano had three votes from other housemates, so he was saved.

^3 Ermira and Lorena were not official housemates and for this reason the public voted to decide if they should stay or leave the house. Finally they were saved with 75% of public votes.

^4 Graciano was automatically nominated by the rest of the housemates.

^5 The public voted for its favorite housemate. Ermal, Arbër, Graciano, Gentiana, Liam and Klaudja were voted the favorite housemates of the public so they could not be nominated for two weeks.

^6 All housemates except the exempt housemates and the new ones were nominated. The exempt housemates, Arbër, Ermal, Liam and Genta, had to save a nominated housemate. They non saved housemates were Anila, Graciano and Lorena.

^7 The housemates voted to nominate between Erion, Ermal and Gentiana as they never were nominated. Erion was the first nominee. Gentiana and Ermal were exempt next round.

^8 This round the female housemates were immune and hey have to save a male housemate. The male who wasn't saved were nominated.

^9 Graciano had to choose his two best friends in the house to be nominated. He chose Erion and Grandiola. Then, the rest of the housemates had to choose who should be up for elimination. Grandiola received most votes.

^10 Housemates had to choose the first nominee between less favourite housemates Dritan, Erion, Gentiana, Gerta and Graciano.

^11 Arbër, Dritan, Gerta and Liam were automatically nominated by Big Brother for discussion about nominations.

^12 In this round there were at least two nominees, one by the public and the other by the housemates. Erion was chosen by the public.
