Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara is the first school of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan to be established in Ernakulam, Kerala, India, in 1972. It has classes from Std. I to XII and is affiliated to the CBSE, New Delhi. The school is spread across eight acres.

The school functions under the purview of the Kochi Kendra of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, which runs seven schools in Kochi. It has a football ground, two basketball courts, a cricket pitch (including nets), volleyball court, and a Kho-Kho court.
Timings
The school has three terms for the primary section and two terms for the Secondary section. The school starts at 7.45am with a morning assembly. There are seven periods for the primary section and nine periods for the secondary section, each periods is 45 minutes long. In 2014 it was changed,there are now 8 periods for both primary and secondary section and both sections leave at 2.30pm.
The primary and the secondary section have lunch break from 11.35am to 12.05pm. The primary and secondary section have a short break at 9.30 am. On 2015, there are now 7 periods for primary section and 9 periods for secondary section, (just as before 2014)

The school is open from Grade 1 to Grade 12 [1st standard to 12th standard] and the age group is from 6 years to 17 years. The school is divided into Primary [1-5], Secondary [6-10] and Senior Secondary [11-12] classes.
