Bethlen, son of Lőrinc (12th century) was a Hungarian nobleman, ancestor of the Bethlen and Apafi families. He had two sons: Péter (ancestor of the Bethlen family) and Olivér (his grandchild Apa and great-grandchild Miklós Apafi were the ancestors of the Apafi family).
Later the Bethlen family divided into two branches: Bethlen de Iktár and Bethlen de Bethlen.
