Bertinottiani referred to the faction around Fausto Bertinotti, a leading member of the Communist Refoundation Party (PRC), a political party in Italy.
The Bertinottiani are currently divided between those around Nichi Vendola and Franco Giordano, who led their Refoundation for the Left faction outside the PRC, and those who decided not to leave the party (To the Left with Refoundation)
