Benis (Persian: بنیس, also romanized as Benus; also known as Benīz and Biniz and also often written as Benis) is a village in Guney-ye Sharqi Rural District, in the Central District of Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2011 census, its population was 1,008, in 331 families. Most Benisi residents work in Tehran.
