Bematistes tellus, the orange bematistes, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and Tanzania. The habitat consists of forests.

It is mimicked by males of Mimacraea apicalis.

The larvae feed on Adenia species.
