Profiles

The Belvedere Tiburon Library is an independent public library serving the communities of Belvedere and Tiburon, California and operated by The Belvedere-Tiburon Library Agency. The library opened in 1997 at its present location of 1501 Tiburon Boulevard in Tiburon. The library collection consists of over 70,000 books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs, Videos, and audio books. Services offered by the Belvedere Tiburon Library include programs for adults and children, Internet access, a wireless network, a Web site, online databases, computer training, and home delivery for disabled patrons. The library is a member of the Marin Automated Resources and Information Network (MARINet), a consortium of publicly funded libraries in Marin County. Deborah Mazzolini has been the director of the Belvedere-Tiburon Library since 1997.

The 10,200 sq. ft. library building was designed by the firm of Bull, Stockwell, and Allen. The architectural style is that of the 19th century railroad yard in Tiburon. The library's windows look out on protected marsh lands and Old St. Hilary's Open Space preserve.
