Bear Creek is a town in Sauk County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 497 at the 2000 census. The town took its name from Bear Creek. The unincorporated community of Loreta is located in the town.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 49.7 square miles (128.7 km²), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 497 people, 176 households, and 140 families residing in the town. The population density was 10.0 people per square mile (3.9/km²). There were 211 housing units at an average density of 4.2 per square mile (1.6/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.60% White, 0.40% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.80% of the population.
There were 176 households out of which 38.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 67.6% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.9% were non-families. 15.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.82 and the average family size was 3.18.
In the town, the population was spread out with 27.4% under the age of 18, 6.4% from 18 to 24, 30.0% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 12.1% who were 65 years of age or older.
