Bayernkurier is a German weekly political and news magazine. The magazine is based in Munich and has been published since 1950.

History and profile

Bayernkurier was first published on 3 June 1950. Franz Josef Strauß was the founding editor-in-chief of the magazine. It is associated with the Christian Social Union in Bavaria. The magazine is published by a company with the same name and has a right-wing political stance. The headquarters is in Munich.

The circulation of Bayernkurier was 79,000 copies in 2005, 66,900 copies in 2006 and 65,800 copies in 2007. It rose to 74,300 copies in 2008, but fell to 68,300 copies in 2009. It further fell to 60,800 copies in 2010.
