A Banquet photo is a commemorative photograph typically in a hotel or club banquet room from a high angle where foreground to background each person is in focus while seated at their table. Large cameras such as a 12x20 view camera or a panoramic camera were used.

Some noted banquet photographers were Edward Kelty who was an early banquet camera user who photographed circuses predominately with traditional banquet cameras. Robert B. MacKay used cirkut cameras which worked outside and spun whereas the traditional banquet camera with flashbulbs worked just as well inside. Because of the difficult technical aspects of banquet photography and the specific equipment needed and the vast size of it, banquet photography is becoming more and more of a rare art form.
