A Banda Sinfónica is an ensemble of traditional Spanish origin. The instrumentation is wind instruments (including saxophones), percussion and cello and double bass, and occasionally piano and harp.

Structure

The approximate structure of a symphonic band is as follows:

  • Two piccolos
  • Four flutes
  • Three oboes
  • An English horn
  • Three bassoons

  • Two saxophones sopranos
