The Bali Democracy Forum is an annual international gathering of leaders in Bali, Indonesia, to discuss topical issues addressing the promotion and sustainment of democracy. It was founded in 2008 under the leadership of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. The Forum is run by a combination of the Government of Indonesia and the Institute for Peace and Democracy.
The Forum has been criticised for being a talking shop and being an exercise in promotion. The Forum carried on beyond the term of Yuhoyono into the term of office of Joko Widodo and has been described as mattering even more.
