Balanbaal is a town in the northwestern Togdheer region of Somalia. It is located in the Buhoodle District, northwest by road from Buuhoodle and south of Burco. The Ayn province in which the settlement and district are situated is disputed between the Khatumo State (formerly HBM-SSC or Hoggaanka Badbaadada iyo Mideynta SSC) and Somaliland autonomous regions of Somalia.
