Bains::connective is a working and presentation space for artists founded in 1997. The multidisciplinary laboratory is located in the former municipal swimming pool of Forest in Brussels.

An artistic breeding place

Bains::Connective is a home for long-term residencies in the fields of music, dance, visual arts and others. Bains::Connective also welcomes short-term and one-off proposals by individuals or groups keen to participate and invest in the life of the Connective. Activities, workshops, works-in-progress and performances are grounded in the principles of experimentation, exchange and development. The result is a fertile environment for cross-disciplinary research and innovation. The former Forest public baths are an experiment on their own, as is the architectural project of renovation and rehabilitation. It is a social and cultural meeting place, where visitors, members, inhabitants of the local community and a wider public are encouraged to become involved, to connect.

Bains::Connective is administered by Krul vzw/asbl. Since 2006, Bains::Connective is recognized as an artistic working space by the Flemish Community (De Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie, de Vlaamse Gemeenschap and Kosmopolis).
