Back to the world 1973

Back to the World is the fourth studio album by Curtis Mayfield. "The world" was what American GIs in Vietnam called the United States, and returning to it could be a harrowing experience; Mayfield addresses this problem in the title track. The album also includes the minor hit “Future Shock," which was covered by Herbie Hancock in 1983, and the emotional "If I Were Only a Child Again." Back to the World went to #1 on the Billboard R&B Albums chart and reached the top 20 on the Pop Albums chart. The single "Right on for the Darkness" was featured in the 1995 film Dead Presidents.
