Ba Zhong Tan (Chinese:巴忠倓) was born in January 1930, Shangdong Province Yantai City. In August 1949 he joined the PLA,and joined the Chinese communist party in 1950. Ba Zhong Tan worked in "HuaDong(East China or in Chinese “华东”)Military Region",and "NanJing Military region"(Chinese:南京军区) and was long-term working as the staff officer. Later Ba Zhong Tan was promoted as the NanJing Military region deputy chief of staff. In August 1985 he held the position as "Shanghai Garrison Commander"(Chinese:上海警备区司令员). In September 1988 he won the rank of "Lieutenant General"(Chinese: 少将). In the 28th of February 1992 his rank was changed from Lieuteant General of the People's Liberation Army into the rank of Armed Police Major-General rank. In 1993 Ba Zhong Tan was promoted as the Armed-police Lieutenant General(Chinese: 武警中将) February 2, 1996,because of the vice-chairperson of the National people's congress(NPC or in Chinese :国务院) of the people's Republic of China - Li Pei Yao(Chinese:李沛瑶)'s home was robbed by the burglar Zhang Jin Long (张金龙), The burglar who was in the Beijing Armed-Police Forces,first corps second Squadron and first Detachment, Li Pei Yao was also murdered by Zhang Jin Long. Because of this incident, the State Council (Chinese:国务院);the Central Military Commission (Chinese:中央军委)had sanctioned the retirement of the Commander Of The Armed Forces,Lieutenant General Ba Zhong Tan. Ba Now is serving as the chairman of The Council For National Security Policy Studies(CNSPS)and the Chairman of SWRF (Shanghai Water Resource Foundation)
