B. Jaya a veteran actress of south Indian films acted over four decades. She has acted in over 200 films in variety of roles.
Film career
She came to the cinema as child artist from Bhaktha Prahallada Kannada cinema. Prathigne, Bettada Huli, Nyayave Devaru got her awards from film fans. In 2004-2005 for ‘Gowdru’ Kannada cinema she received the best supporting actress. She is the recipient of Nataka Academy award in a long career as an actress.
