Average Rock 'n' Roller is the fifth and final studio album for Australian proto-heavy metal band Buffalo, recorded in 1976 and originally released in 1977 on the Vertigo label. The album is considered to be their most commercially oriented release – with the band going as far as attempting ballads (such as the tracks "Rollin'" and "Sailor"). Average Rock 'n' Roller was also marked by dramatic line-up changes within Buffalo, coupled with lack of support from their record label, ultimately resulting in the band's demise prior to this album's release.
Contents
The album was remastered and reissued in December 2006 by Australian record label Aztec Music on CD with additional tracks – which are solo recordings by vocalist Dave Tice of a Beatles and Chuck Berry cover respectively, originally released as a single during 1976.
