Auxiliary Power's Demolition Derby and Figure 8 Race (Also called DD&F8R, and DD&F8) is a PC demolition derby and figure 8 racing game. It is regarded as the only 'true' demolition derby game, as there are no gimmicks, power-ups, or blood and gore; this game may be regarded as a demolition derby simulation. The game was developed by John C. Ardussi with the help of real demolition derby drivers and officials. There are currently 6 websites and 3 forums devoted to the modification of the game.

Gameplay
In this game, there are 4 difficulty levels and 9 different original tracks. There are 11 original body styles and over 50 original AI(computer) drivers. Engines smoke, stall, steam, and backfire. Vehicles get realistic damage. Just like real demolition derby, there is a heat, and then a final. You can get black flagged for sandbagging, or avoiding hits on purpose. Players start at a local level, then move on to regional then national level.
Game modification
Several people have modified the game by creating new vehicles and tracks. Most files are stored in the MAS format. This format is a type of compression which is used in other games (An example is Formula 1 2000 from Electronic Arts). As of 2013 there are over 1450 cars and 50 tracks available for this game
