The Auto-Wheel was a self-contained engine and fuel tank that could be clipped to any bicycle. The combination could reach up to 40 km/h. Its maker was International Auto-Wheel Co. during the 1910s and the company was backed by Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Holmes.
