Australian cricket team in New Zealand in 1909–10

The Australia national cricket team toured New Zealand from February to April 1910 and played seven first-class matches including two against the New Zealand national cricket team. New Zealand at this time had not been elevated to Test status.

Team

The players, with ages at the start of the tour, were:

  • Warwick Armstrong (captain) (30)
  • Warren Bardsley (27)
  • Norman Dodds (33)
  • Sid Emery (24)
  • Ashley Facy (24)
  • Charles Gorry (31)
  • Bert Hopkins (35)
  • Charles Kelleway (23)
  • Edgar Mayne (27)
  • Charles Simpson (27)
  • Dave Smith (25)
  • Tom Warne (40)
  • Bill Whitty (23)
  • From the originally selected team, Simpson replaced Stanley Hill, and Warne replaced Gar Waddy. The manager was Alick Mackenzie, who also played in the minor match against Taranaki.

    Only Armstrong, Bardsley, Hopkins and Whitty had played Test cricket. Emery, Kelleway, Mayne and Smith went on to play Tests.
