Ati Gropius Johansen (1926 - September 7, 2014) was a graphic designer and teacher. She was the daughter of famous architect and Bauhaus founder Walter Gropius and his second wife Ilse (Ise) Frank. Johansen was born as Beate in Wiesbaden, Germany, and was adopted by Walter and Ise at 9 years old when her mother, Ise's sister, died. Johansen was instrumental in continuing the legacy of her father through her teaching.
