The Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons of Asia is an international association of Asian Cardiothoracic surgeons. It was founded in 1972 by cardiothoracic surgeons in the Asian countries and its headquartered in Quezon City, Philippines. The association consists of members from 44 countries and to be considered for membership, a cardiothoracic surgeon must have a track record of distinction in the field and have made meritorious contributions to the knowledge of cardiothoracic disease and its surgical treatment.
