Asif Chaudry is a British Surgical Oncologist and Robotic Cancer Surgeon with an interest Oesophageal and Gastric cancer. He is based at The Royal Marsden, the world's oldest Cancer Hospital (founded in 1851). The Marsden together with the Institute of Cancer Research forms the largest comprehensive cancer institute in Europe and is one of the foremost cancer institutions in the world.

He was born in London and educated at Wadham College, Oxford where he was awarded an scholarship and qualified from Oxford University with distinction in 1999.

Chaudry is the editor of the Surgical Oncology (Oxford University Press) EpCAM, in the Encyclopedia of Cancer (Springer). Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery (Oxford University Press) and Clinical Surgery (Elsevier)

He performed the first independent Robotic Surgery for Oesophageal Cancer in the UK establishing the first such program.

He is a founding member of the European Gastric Cancer Association, founded in São Paulo, Brazil as part of the International Gastric Cancer Association in 2015. He participates in translational cancer research at the Royal Marsden and Institute of Cancer research and chaired the cancer drug development sessions at the International Drug Discovery Science and Technology Conference, held in Xian, China in November 2007, Beijing, October 2008 and Shanghai 2009. as well as the surgical oncology session at the World Cancer Congress, Singapore 2010.

Chaudry is affiliated and has worked on various relief projects with Doctors Worldwide. He was one of the founders of the City Circle, Careers and Mentoring Project.

He is the grandson of Chaudry Mohammad Aslam the Chair of the 1963 Boundary Commission for the Sino-Pakistan Agreement between China and Pakistan that established the Trans-Karakoram boundary that is now pivotal in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, CPEC.
