An Asian Swede is someone born in or having ancestry from Asia, or a former citizen of Asia, who now lives in Sweden. In 2016, Sweden's Asian population grew by 223,253, mainly due to record immigration. A lot of the emigrants in Sweden are from Asia; Thailand, China, Vietnam, Korea, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Afghanistan, India, and Pakistan, are the most represented countries.

  • East Asian origins: 48,847 (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Mongolian)
  • Southeast Asian origins: 78,133 (Filipino, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese)
  • South Asian origins: 88,780 (Afghan, Bangladeshis, Indian, Pakistani)
  • Central Asian origins: 7,493 (Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Uzbek)
