The Arunattu Vellalar or Arunadu Vellalar or Arunadu Velalar is a subcaste of the Vellalar caste of India.
The Vellalars of six 'nadus' (equivalent to taluqs of today) near Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, bonded to form the sub-caste. For reasons unknown, they migrated to the Tiruchirappalli district more than 1500 years ago.
They are predominantly landlords and agriculturalists and most of them concentrate on business and trading now.
