Artav of Khwarezm

Artav (also spelled Artabanus) was a Khwarazmian king who ruled the Khwarezm region in the late 1st-century, and also possibly in the early 2nd-century. He was the second king of an unnamed kingdom in Khwarezm, founded by his predecessor, whose name is unknown. Artav, during his reign, started the construction of a new city, which became his capital.
