Art Circuits Miami is a free art guide about miami art scene, available in both digital and printed formats. Founded in Miami in 2003 by its publisher Liana Perez, the guide includes four monthly newsletters that are sent out to subscribers announcing the openings in the different art gallery circuits throughout various Miami artsy neighborhoods. The guide also informs readers on upcoming museum and performing arts events. Art Circuits prints two collectible editions per year, which are distributed in art galleries, museums, private collections, hotels, and at Art Basel, one of the largest art shows in the world, held every December in Miami Beach, as well as in Basel, Switzerland for their June main art fair. Maps, Art Basel Miami Beach Week & satellite art fairs The updated maps of the art hubs spread throughout the county (http://artcircuits.com/circuit-map/) as well as a specific map of the more than 20 satellite art fairs that open in Miami Beach near Art Basel and in Wynwood Arts District /Midtown every first week of December are an important feature of the guide. Local art fairs as Sculpt and Little Sister are also included.
Gallery Walks & Private Collections Wynwood Arts District located in the city of Miami is the favorite art hub for contemporary artists, avant garde galleries, experimental venues and world class private collections such as Rubell Family Collection, Margulies Collection at the Warehouse and World Class Boxing (Debra and Dennis Scholl Collection). Other art circuits include Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Bird Road District, Little Havana and the Design District which serves as the showrooms’ hub and houses the contemporary art collection of Rosa and Carlos de la Cruz . Downtown, but sometimes considered Lower Wynwood, another important contemporary art collection, the Ella Fontanals-Cisneros Collection, CIFO, is located. These private collections are open to the public only some months each year, so check it out before visiting.
Each of the Greater Miami’s neighborhoods choose one night a month to open galleries and studios for an exciting evening art walk. Elisa Turner, art critic Elisa Turner is Art Circuits’ art critic since 2008, when Art Circuits evolved from a monthly to a quarterly guide and launched its website www.artcircuits.com. Her column, ArtCentric, in Art Circuits constitutes a cultural compass about artists, museums, collections and trends of Miami. For 12 years, Turner was the primary art critic of the local newspaper The Miami Herald, for which she sought to bring talented but lesser known artists to the public's attention as well as to educate her readers about the merits of established national and international artists. As Michael Spring, Director of Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, wrote recently, "Elisa's discerning eye can capture a trend before it surfaces, can reveal the fascinating idiosyncrasies of personalities that shape an arts community....This almost magical talent is attributable to her unrelenting curiosity and her sensitivity to and fascination for the remarkable diversity of people, traditions and forces that are shaping Miami's adventures in the visual arts."

How was Miami art scene before Art Basel 2002? Miami ascended the heights of contemporary chic when Art Basel Miami Beach opened in 2002. A question that arose frequently is if Miami art scene before 2002 had any relevance. In 2007 Elisa wrote the foreword of the book Miami Contemporary Artists where she affirmed, before the arrival of Art Basel in 2002, that Miami's art scene was “percolating and productive."
Erika King, Artist and Social Photographer Collage artist and social photographer Erika King, a Coconut Grove legend, started her art stars column in Art Circuits in 2009.
