Art Bar is Canada's longest running weekly poetry reading. It was established in Toronto in 1991 and has continued until present day. Art Bar has featured many Canadian poets including Christian Bök, Shane Koyczan, and Canadian Poet Laureate George Elliott Clarke. Art Bar's board announced in January 2016 that the organization would be closing down in June 2016 just after celebrating its 25th anniversary.
