The Arson attack at Joseph's Tomb occurred on October 16, 2015 when hundreds of Palestinians set fire to the compound of Joseph's Tomb in Nablus in the West Bank, causing heavy damage to the building, particularly the women's prayer area. However, the tomb itself remained intact.

Reaction to the arson

Knesset member (MK) Hotovely said that the compound is under Palestinian control and yet Palestinians put the place ablaze, "It only showed that their only goal to harm places which are holy to Jews, which teach our thousands year old connection to that place".

MK Uri Ariel said while the Palestinians lie about changing the status quo in the Temple Mount, they are burning and desecrating places which are holy to Jews.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, in his clearest call yet to end the renewed violence, condemned the attack. He ordered the damage to be repaired and opened an investigation into the arson.

The BBC reported the tomb was caused by rioters and "badly damaged" in the attack.
