Democratic Mayor of Phoenix, Greg Stanton, has created a campaign committee for Secretary of State. Stanton has given no indication he is currently considering running for Secretary of State, but could decide to run for that or a different office, such as Governor, Attorney General or Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Stanton had more than $509,000 in his campaign committee at the start of 2017 while Reagan had about $31,000 in her account.
