History

Founded in 1988 as Arc Co., Ltd., it spent its early years as a contract developer for Sega, Sammy and Banpresto. On June 11, 2015, Arc System Works announced they had acquired all intellectual properties of Technōs Japan from Million Co., Ltd. On February 6, 2017, Arc System Works announced that they had acquired the rights to the Jake Hunter, Theresia, Nazo no Jikenbo, and Koneko no Ie series from developer WorkJam.
