Aranghata (Bengali: আড়ংঘাটা) is a suburban village in the district of Nadia, West Bengal, India. It is situated 78 km (48 mi) north of Calcutta and about 9 km (5.6 mi) north of Ranaghat. Aranghata is served by the Ranaghat Junction Railway Station a major station on the Sealdah-Gede railway section.Aranghata is famous for its Jugol Kishore Mela on the bank of the Churni. Maha Samsan Ghat is also on the bank of river Churni.People of Bahirgachhi, Panchberia,Salua, Bankimnagar, Bhaina, Bahirgachi,math narayanpur do trades in Aranghata. Also it is famous for its great culture.Aranghata can be described as an education hub also.
