The Arakan Army (Burmese: ရခိုင်ပြည်တပ်မတော်; abbreviated AA), also known as the Arakan State Army (abbreviated ASA), is a Rakhine insurgent group in Kayin State, Myanmar (Burma). The group has attacked Burmese military outposts along Myanmar's border with Bangladesh, in addition to Bangladeshi border guards.
