Anya's Lyric

Anya's Lyric is a story of one girl's courage in the face of our society's worst offences. The book traces the story of a girl suffering from a learning disability and her journey through a troubled life. A childhood tragedy forces Anya to live in hiding with her abusive father, and she desperately searches for a way to establish a better relationship with him.

A girl born on an unlikely day to an unlikely couple, Anya stumbles through her chaotic life that gets undone at every step because of her inability to communicate what she wants to say.

A variety of characters are introduced in the story – characters who will, in some way, influence the course of Anya’s life. The book explores Anya’s emotional and physical experiences as she tries to discover her sorrow, her joy and her ecstasy, her innocence, her ability to hate and eventually, find the hidden path to peace.
