Antone ("Tone") Belt (born February 10, 1987 in Bethesda, Maryland) was a member of the University of Louisville track and field team during the years 2005-2010 and a 2005 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.

Belt graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science (Sport Administration) and Master of Education(Public Health) in 2012.

Belt won the silver medal in the long jump at the 2006 World Junior Championships in Beijing, China.

Belt is also Cardinals' first ever track and field National Champion, seven-time NCAA All-American, first ever UofL athlete to earn a World Championship medal and school record holder in indoor/outdoor high jump and long jump and outdoor 4 × 400 m relay.

Achievements

2005-06

  • Earned All-America honors in the long jump and high jump after fifth-place finishes in each at the NCAA Championships, becoming just the second UofL men's athlete to earn the honor.
  • Won the silver medal in the long jump at the World Junior Championships in Beijing, China, with his school record jump.
  • Named Most Outstanding Men's Field Performer of the Meet at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships after winning the long jump and high jump titles and scoring 28 points for the Cards.
  • Finished second in the high jump and the long jump at the NCAA Mideast Regional.
  • Won the BIG EAST title in the indoor long jump.
  • During outdoor season, he won five high jump titles, five long jump titles and one triple jump title.
  • 2006-07

  • All-American honors after winning the indoor men's long jump with a school record of 26 feet, 1.75 inches.
  • Became Louisville's first ever track and field national champion.
  • Won the BIG EAST Championship in the outdoor high jump with and effort of 7-03.00.
  • Runner-up in the high jump at the NCAA Regional.
  • Took home first place honors at the NCAA Regionals in the long jump with a leap of 24-10.50.
  • Long jump runner-up at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
  • First place jumper in six of his seven indoor long jump events.
  • Indoor BIG EAST champion in the high jump with a jump of 7-03.00 inches.
  • Named the Southeast Region's Men's Field Athlete of the Year by the USTFCCCA .
  • Was the Outstanding Field Performer at the BIG EAST Conference Championships.
  • 2007-08

  • Did not compete during 2007-08 season due to medical redshirt.
  • 2008-09

  • Competed in three outdoor and three indoor events for the Cardinals.
  • NCAA All-American in the high jump.
  • Outdoor BIG EAST Men's Most Outstanding Field Performer.
  • Finished seventh at NCAA Championships in the high jump with a height of 7-01.50.
  • BIG EAST Champion in the high jump with a height of 7-01.00 and in the long jump with a distance of 25-00.50.
  • Finished sixth in triple jump at BIG EAST Championships.
  • Finished second in the Mideast Regionals in the high jump and fourth in the long jump.
  • BIG EAST Indoor Champion in the long jump with a distance of 25-02.75.
  • Also finished second in the high jump.
  • Finished no lower than second during the indoor season in the high jump.
  • Named BIG EAST Male Field Performer of the Week on January 28, 2009 and April 8, 2009.
